Ladder to Infinity Scarf

Scarf measures 6" by 60", start/end ends attached to form a circle. You can wear it either long or doubled. In this version each "rung" is a different combo of multiple strands of scrap yarn, the ends are tied to make fringe. This would also look great just using one yarn, solid, varegated or a long stripe painted yarn(Noro type), smooth or thick n thin. Chunky works best(say for a #13/#15 needle). With using one yarn the fringe is optional.

Paintbox Fair Isle Stuff

Pattern is shown on a pair of wrist warmers(easy! just a tube!), but can be done on a basic mitten, neckwarmer, leg warmers, hat, short sleeved yoked cardi etc, child's boxy jacket, backpack). The point of this fair isle pattern is to play with color. I think it would be fun to print a chart that can be colored in(if it's okay for people to make copies of it to try different colorways). Wrist warmer measures 9" tall x 8 1/2" around. Use any sport weight wool.

Aspen Leaf Scarf

I used a variety of worsted wools for this scarf, but Plymouth Galway does have matching colors for those I used in their line. It would also look great in one color. Instead of trying to weave in the ends(it woudl just look messy on a stripey scarf like this), I just knotted them for a touch of fringe. The colors I used were deeper than the photo shows, basically plum, teal, olive, russet, loden, lime,gold/ocher, burnt orange, burgundy, periwinkle. Scarf measures 7 1/2" x 80"

Same basic pattern, three different results--Christmas ornament, juggling balls, pumpkins. I used Brown Sheep Nature Spun Sport for the juggling balls, various sport wools for the ornaments, and the pumpkins were made with the same stitch count, but with different weight yarns--a lightweight worsted, a heavy worsted(Peacefleece) and a bulky. I stuffed the balls with a ball made of waste yarn. I makes a nice firm sphere and also the balls bounce good and have a little weight so you can really throw them and hit your target. The pumpkins were made squat by tacking the "poles" of the stuffing ball together.

About 6" by 60" for big version, and 4" by 60" for skinny version. This scarf would be fun either using a different color for each triangle, or using a multicolored yarn with a long run of color, like Patons SWS(in swatch), Plymouth Boku, or Noro.

Colorblock Cable Cardigan for Women or Kids

This jacket has rolled hems. The front bands are garter st with an eyelet row on the last ridge. These will be the buttonholes(I haven't got buttons for this yet). Or buttons can be optional and a hook and eye sewn under where the belt tie comes together. The applique has a little embroidery around--lazy daisies with button centers, and chain st tendrils. Set in sleeves, hip length, relaxed fit.

Suggested Yarn: I used a heathered alpaca for the model. Plymouth Suri Merino, hem and cuffs--402 dark heather grey, body--401 light heather grey, flower--100 cream, ties and embroidery--1837--iris(note these are different colors than in model).

For girl's--Plymouth Encore, hem and cuffs--lime, body--pink, flower--sky blue, ties--yellow

Fishtail Lace Yoked T for Women

This cap sleeve T is very easy and quick to knit, the only yoke shaping is in the final row before BO. The lace pattern is also very easy to learn and drapes nicely. Two braided ties close the front, and I wear it with tanks. It would make a nice swimsuit cover-up in a longer length.

Suggested Yarn: Plymouth Fantasy Naturale, Madrid, Parigi, or any smooth summer yarn.

Ribbon Jacket for Women

This jacket has a very easy diagonal lace that is threaded with a novelty ribbon. A braid tie closes the neck, and the sleeves are 3/4 length. The length here is slightly cropped, but can also be hip length. I worked crab st around the edges, but they can also be done in garter stitch.

Suggested Yarn: Plymouth Fantasy Naturale(The actual color was teal--didn't come through in photo), Lion Brand Cotton.
Novelty Yarn: Plymouth Hot!Hot!Hot!(used above), Hip, Jungle. Many different novelty yarns would look great in this, the fun is in choosing ;0).

Nordic Yoke Cardigan for Women and Kids

This easy fair isle cardigan has a drawstring around the neckline. The sleeves can be done short or long.

Suggested Yarn: Patons Classic Wool, MC 77010 Natural Marl, CC's 207 Rich Red, 77117 Worn Denim, 240 Leaf Green, 226 Black, 00224 Grey Mix, 208 Burgundy.

A version for a Child can be done with 207 Rich Red as MC, and 00224 Grey mix OR Natural as CC(only one color in fair isle patterns)

This might look real cute together with a short sleeve cardi(as above) for mom, and the 2-color long sleeve version for a child. They are a little Christmasy, but not too much.

Striped Bomber Jacket

This jacket is knit from the top down, but can be knit up with raglan shaping, or with a set in sleeve. It has set in pockets with a garter stitch edging which is knit along with the body. The body is knit all in one piece from underarm down. The flowers and leaves were embroidered with scrap yarn in different textures(smooth, mohair). The stripes have added texture with moss st edges, and an eyelet row.

Suggested yarns: Plymouth Galway, Patons Classic Wool, or any smooth worsted wool or wool blend.

RIbbed Cardigan for Women or Children

Any worsted varegated yarn, I used a varegated wool similar to Galway. The neckline is square, and the cardi is knit from the top down. It has negative ease, but the ribbing(2x2) is very stretchy, and can be blocked so the fit is looser. The sleeves are just past elbow length. The buttonband is two ridges of garter st, and garter stitch is worked around the neckline(I worked reverse single crochet or crab st on this). Length is hip length.

Suggested yarns: Plymouth Outback Wool, Baby Alpaca Worsted, Galway Paint, Madrid, Parigi, or any worsted smooth yarn.
